How to grow a vegetable garden
How I did it: Our backyard soil was poor, so we built raised beds and filled them with compost, black cow, and peat. We planted radishes, peas, broccoli, and turnips. We harvested the radishes and turnips (they were great!), and the broccoli and peas are still growing.
Plus, it looks really pretty in a boring backyard. :)
Lessons & tips: Read. A simple vegetable gardener's guide can help you with when, where, and what to plant.
Other than that, don't give up. Sometimes things don't go as planned, but you have to keep trying in order to improve.
