How I did it: Me and my friends decided to go to London for our summer holidays.
We bought a ryanair online ticket from Milan to London (Stansted).
Thanks to booking.com we found a chip hotel in Earls Court.
When we arrived in London we took a train from Stansted to LIverpool Street and then the underground to Earls Court.
Easy games... in London you can choose between underground, bus and taxi to move around the city.

Lessons & tips: It's better if you speak a bit of english especially if happen some problems with the hotel, transport, etc...
