"I used my point-and-click digital camera and software that came with my computer."
How I did it: I made a short video letter for my friend's two-year-old girl.
- I didn't write a script in advance, I just set up the shot and started the camera and let it roll
- I blabbered on and on about what I wanted to say to her
- I copied the files over to my video editing program
- I played the file and wrote down notes on what I said
- Reading over the notes, I highlighted what I wanted to use in the video
- I played the video again and clipped those highlighted parts
- I arranged the clips into the order I wanted and created a DVD
