How to communicate better
How I did it: I was working at an international hostel in San Francisco, California. I had decided that I was going to act more confident, and I met a wonderful man. In that confidence, I also began to speak my mind, and to admit when I don't understand something. Half of poor communication can be the lack of translation. Someone may mean one thing, and I will take it a different way. So I also began to point out (what I thought was) the complete obvious. It's amazing what one can assume in a conversation. I began telling my friends of these amazing (to me) epiphanies, and they happened to be amazed too. So I came to the conclusion that I need to share what is in my brain more.
Also, if you assume that everyone thinks the same as you, whether it's the same WAY or the same THOUGHTS, you're probably wrong. I learned that I can't automatically presume everyone is the same as me in any way.
