How I did it: I found a place here in town that takes paper, magazines, plastic bottles, aluminim and tin cans. I started keepings things separated and I simply drop the stuff of when the boxes are full. The only thing I'm having trouble with is finding a place to take my glass bottles, but so far I've been using them as flower vases and it's worked out well.
Lessons & tips: Get some boxes to keep things separated. If you want to be organized and label them you can.

or craft guild offers glass blowing. The college where I met my husband had a glass-blowing program and 30 years ago we were recycling bottles by rinsing them out and donating them to the craft department.

I found a place to take my glass bottles. Yay! I was on campus at the university here and they have glass recycle receptacles. So I’m going to take my glass bottles there in the morning. I’m so happy. :-)
