How I did it: We adopted our dog from the ASPCA. I will always support shelter dogs. We were introduced to this dog by the behaviourist and she knew what she was talking about. He fits our lifestyle and attitude perfectly.
Lessons & tips: You will have doggie regret for a few days afterward until you get into a routine, but then you'll love your pet to the ends of the earth. Some days I think "how did i ever live without him" and some days I think "does anyone want to buy a dog?" But we love him and always will.
