How to stop being a perfectionist
How I did it: I still have perfectionist tendencies, but I consider this goal complete because it no longer is a huge issue for me. The only way to overcome it is to stop seeing yourself as a perfectionist, otherwise you will always be one in your own eyes. I still struggle with wanting to make things "perfect" but I no longer spend so much time berating myself over it and think of myself of more of a "recovering perfectionist"
Lessons & tips: Try and see what your motivations are for wanting to make things "perfect," usually it stems from fear, the need to control, ask yourself what would happen if you did something that wasn't so perfect, would your world really fall apart? If you really feel it is a major issue for you it may help to talk to a counselor or other professional to help you sort it out.
