Cheers
Its great that you wrote your own ceremony. Its wonderful that you created it to fit your relationship. Many positive wishes! : )
How I did it: We wrote our own ceremony & just planned things out to fit our relationship. I wore a white dress & he wore a black & white tux -- but it was a very intimate & personal ceremony. The reception was a blast & we shared our special day with 200 of our closest family & friends.
Lessons & tips: Never rush marriage. We were engaged for about 2 & a half years before we set a wedding date. And plan in advance. Give yourself plenty of time so that you can pay attention to those small details. And don't sweat the small stuff -- if one little thing goes wrong, chances are you're the only one who will notice it. Let yourself have the best day of your life.
Resources: I got my dress from David's Bridal. The staff were very knowledgable & they waited on me hand & foot. I didn't feel like I was wasting their time & I absolutely loved my dress. I did my own make up -- I was never too keen on having anyone else do it because I know exactly how to apply my own make up. I used Bare Minerals make up & I looked flawless all day.
