How to start a blog
It made me

"I really like blogging, I've made some great friends and the act of writing helps me figure things out in my life."
How I did it: I started a blog years ago on LiveJournal. I didn't know much about graphic design and so I was pretty intimidated to start my own from scratch. LJ or Blogger are great ways to start a blog and get involved in the blogging communities.
Lessons & tips: If you would like a "following" your best way is to read other blogs and comment like crazy. That and actually making posts so that there is something to read on your blog. And the most important thing is to just do it; don't wait until you feel everything is perfect or until you feel you have something brilliant to say.
