How to go on a road trip with no predetermined destination

How I did it: My boyfriend at the time and I were in a huge fight; he got pissed and started to leave and I decided to leave with him. We grabbed some cd's and just got in the car. We drove for about 8/9 hours nad ended up in the most beautiful little town. Slept a few hours in a hotel and started back home that day.
Lessons & tips: If you have a few days off or if you are ok calling in sick to work just get in the car and start driving. Let the road take you where you want to go. :)
