How to become a vegetarian
How I did it: my freshman year in high school, i gave it up for lent (about 40 days). then for the next couple months i continued to eat it (i don't know what went through my mind at the time, but i wanted to "enjoy" meat one last time that summer), and before sophomore year started i decided to stop again. for the next 2 months i continued to eat fish, then i cut it down to just shrimp, crab and clams. then 4 months later, i realized i was just being silly and finally gave all of it up. today i keep attempting veganism, but never quite last due to my sweet tooth for sweets. i stopped eating eggs though, and i only drink soymilk. i hope to switch to veganism soon!
Lessons & tips: don't underestimate the choices. if you open up to different options, the variety of food is endless, not to mention delicious and good for you too. oh, and try to stay away from junk food. it may not contain meat, but it is still garbage.
Resources: read DIET FOR A NEW AMERICA! there are countless more literature to help you, but this is my favorite so far.
