How to take part in a protest

How I did it: At my high school's GSA meeting, I heard there was going to be a protest in support of gay rights downtown at city hall, so I got a ride with my friends Tay and Julian and we met up with the protest group. We met some really awesome people and shouted ourselves horse. :D
Lessons & tips: Well the main thing was that at first I was going to pass on the opportunity. After all, it was early, on a Saturday, and I was originally like 'meh'. But then I remembered it was on my list.... And there was this sense of necessity. I'm really glad I did. It was loads of fun.
