How to get my H1AC below 7.5
How I did it: Before going to my new endo doc. my A1C was 8.6ish. Right before the pump it was down to 7.9. Today 3 months after starting the pump I'm at..... drumroll please....... 7.0!!!! I haven't been that low since I was pregnant. So how did I do it?
After years of denial, tears, and poor self-care, I got myself a good therapist, a new endo doc, and something finally clicked. Whereas my prior doc said that I wasn't in good enough control for a pump, my new doc said, 'That's absurd. You go on a pump to get good control." Once I actually got hooked up to the pump, it was really easy. The first couple of weeks there were some adjustments to the ratios, but within a month it was pretty smooth. Having the pump has helped me not get so overwhelmed with all the things to calulate that I just trust the machine and then don't think about it too much. Even though I'm in control, I can relax a whole lot more. Getting this result is the final piece proving to me that the pump is fantabulous!
