I’ve never thought about a theme song for myself so good idea.

Awesome. I did this myself and it might sound corny, but my theme song is definitely Jewel’s “Choose Me”.

I was having a hard time actually getting back to myself and what I loved to do (reading and writing). Writing for a job kinda takes the creativity aspect out of something I used to do naturally—especially when its about software. And I was so frustrated that I could no longer identify with myself and my passion.

But, I was listening to the lyrics to Jewel’s song on my way home after meeting my favourite author/writing idol, whose work I just loved and tried to emulate back when I was at my writing “peak”.

They fit perfectly, if viewing it as a song from my old self to my new self (if that makes any sense). It helps a lot when I feel a bit “lost”.

So congrats. Finding a song that represents you at any point in your life or your whole life is a big thing.
