How to finish knitting my scarf
How I did it: I had been working on it off-and-on last semester, and at the end of the semester I took it home intending to finish it over winter break. With that in mind, my precious scarf sat on the floor for several weeks. With only about a week and a half left until the start of the spring semester, I decided I had better get something done. I set a goal for myself to complete at least 20 rows per day, and I usually knit more. I finished early! Woohoo!
Lessons & tips: Set incentives for yourself. For example, you could promise yourself a piece of chocolate after every five rows. It gives you more motivation because five rows and a piece of chocolate is a goal that you can imagine yourself completing in the near future, instead of a scarf that seems like it'll never end.
