How I did it: I started making the largest payments to the highest interest rate credit cards, and only making minimum payments on the lower interest cards. When the higher ones were paid off I moved down the ladder to the lower interest rates.  Making those last payments is such a weight off the shoulders.  Now I can start saving money! 

Lessons & tips: Pay in cash whenever possible, pay off higher interest rates first, cut up credit cards as you pay them off, wait 24 hours before making a large purchase, eat lunch at home/bring it to work, get a part time job
