How I did it: So my comission check came in yesterday, enough to finally buy a new computer. I was going to get one on the best buy website, since they had a brand new Toshiba for 379, but I wouldn't get it by Monday when the libraries are closed (MLK day). So out of the blue I decided to look on craigslist and I found an even nicer one: A Dell, 2 years old, Windows XP, Microsoft office 2007, and virusprotection already installed--for even less! Only 325! I bought it yesterday morning and it's so refreshing to be able to relax at home at my kitchen table instead of riding a smelly bus and then wait for 30 minutes for a computer to become available. Not to mention the freedom of using it whenever I want.
