How to become a professional dj
It made me 
"Fate fell into my lap."
How I did it: A friend and I were doing the standard kind of drunken talking- "The DJs in this town are perety lame. We should *totaly* start DJing together". Flash forward a few weeks later and my friend starts talking to the owner of a local restaurant at the bar. Turns out he's wanting to start being open late and is looking for some DJs.
We've been doing Thursday nights pretty much every night since, plus the occasional weekend gig. It's a lot of work, but really fun.
