How to visit another country
"Visited Italy for spring break via a program at my university."
How I did it: My university offers a lot of great traveling opportunities that are all relatively cheap. It was all a matter of finally picking up one of those fliers and emailing the prof in charge.
Lessons & tips: Bring snacks! I'm a very picky eater and not a fan of pasta, so getting enough to eat in Italy during the day was tough. Plus, everything closes in the afternoon for a few hours. And I mean EVERYTHING.
Resources: My university. There are usually programs that offer tours for relatively cheap of foreign countries that departments use to give students (and family and friends) a taste of their study abroad programs.
