How to get lasik surgery
How I did it: I had been thinking about it for a long time and finally decided to do it. I couldn't wear contacts everyday anymore without causing my eyes serious irritation and I was getting so sick of having glasses on my face. I went to Lasik Plus and put $300 down. I paid off the rest of the balance in 18 months. The surgery was really quick and so incredibly worth it. I can see even better than I ever did with glasses and from the moment I wake up. I can fall asleep in bed watching a movie with subtitles and not wake up with my contacts glued to my eyes. I can wear sunglasses right off the rack. I can go swimming and not worry about losing a lens if I open my eyes under water. I can see dust motes, floating in the air! Never again will I have to walk from room to room squinting down at every table wondering where the hell I left my glasses.
Lessons & tips: Lasik Plus has locations in many states. If you think you can't afford it, they have financing options.
After getting the surgery (I had mine in 2006) keep your eyes moist, they'll dry out a little easier. I found Systane works the best. Non prescription, you can find it at most pharmacies.
