How to watch a Marilyn Monroe movie

"I felt pretty silly having not seen a single movie starring the arguably most famous actress of all time, and now I've done it."
How I did it: Netflix.com's Watch Instantly feature had two or three to choose from, so I picked The Seven Year Itch, curled up in bed, and watched it. It was cute but oddly enough, I don't think I "got it." Then again, how do you "get" a movie like The Seven Year Itch?
