How to read Shakespeare
How I did it: Alas, Shakespeare was a brilliant person, but I'm not going to lie. Reading Shakespeare is not something a person can do in short bursts. Same goes for the cop-out, "Read the bible in 186 and a half days", books. Like the bible, reading Shakespeare should be done as a lifestyle. There is so much to learn from that unless a reader is cognitively engaged in pursuing Shakespeare's messages, there is no possible way to begin to understand how amazing he was and is. My advice, make it a habitual, once a month, on a Saturday afternoon to re-read Shakespeare. You won't regret it.
Lessons & tips: Be patient, there is not just one meaning. Use every online, library, and personal resource you can to understand. Be critical and read and criticize the critics, it makes everything more fun.
Resources: A huge book, "The Complete Works of Shakespeare". It's a boulder of a book.
