This is SO COOL!

Thanks! Glad you liked it. Thanks for my cheer also. Congratulations on your own sobriety. I love your username by the way. :) I’ve seen it before and it makes me smile.
How I did it: My Higher Power (God), AA, this site, and an awesome support network of some great people. *(I should add here I didn't have ANY of those people that formed my "awesome support network" when I started this goal but I had to create it from asking and looking for help. I wanted to add this because I know EXACTLY what it feels like to feel like you are all alone in this and it is an empty feeling! Please ask for help!) I got to a point that I refused to accept any reason for allowing me to continue destructive behaviors. After I had been able to attain my own sobriety, helping others was monumental to keep my sobriety safe. Carrying the message to other alcoholics or addicts of any sort not only brings fulfillment to see others beat their personal difficulties but it also helps protect my own sobriety and holds me accountable.
Lessons & tips: Humble yourself enough to ask for help from anyone, anything, any group that is willing to help. Pray if you believe. Pray if you don't believe. It cannot hurt. Be thoroughly and rigorously honest with yourself. Resolve any personal resentments or personal issues in your life and become someone who is comfortable in their own skin. After you find your own sobriety, use your newly acquired skills to help others.

That was a really moving post. Thanks for appreciating everything I did for you but as I always said every step of the way, it is my pleasure. I really meant it and still do today because watching you grow as a person and in your sobriety has been so incredible to witness. You are an amazing person who already helps others and is going to help many more in your future by your shining example. You are also a great friend I will forever treasure and a strong mentor as well.

I’ll be 3 years sober next month and it’s awesome to see you here. :)
Josh To thine own self be true.
First off congratulations on three years!!! THAT’S AWESOME!!! Thanks for the nice message and it’s great to see you here also. I appreciate your kind words and your sobriety!
Amy loves my life!!
My brother is an alcoholic and an addict. I have watched him go back and forth with sobriety (for others, not because he wants it) and it is so hard to watch. I pray that one day he will truly want sobriety.
You seem to be in a really good place. Remember that with God all things are possible! Saying a prayer for you today!!

I appreciate your comment and well wishes. I really am in a much better place than I was before and yes, God has much to do with my sobriety. Thank you for saying a prayer for me today and I will in turn say a prayer for your brother, that he will come to a place in his life where he is ready to work for his own sobriety because he wants it.
Have a good day! :)
SlayneB Yea! Been sober for 15 years!!
I love the message of recovery you carry here. As a fellow AAer, it makes me happy to see someone become free!

Wow!! Congratulations on 15 years of living the miracle!!! Do you still attend meetings and actively work your program? It’s great to hear you are a fellow AA’er. I always feel that bond with someone else in the program, just as we could attend a meeting anywhere in the world, and we already “know” the people there. ;) Thanks for the nice message.
