Dear 43 Things Users,

10 years after introducing 43 Things to the world, we have decided we have met our last goal: completing the incredible experience that has been 43 Things. Please join us in giving one last cheer to all the folks who have shared their goals with the world, as well as all the people who have worked at The Robot Co-op to build this incredible website. We won a Webby Award, published a book, and brought happiness to a lot of people.

Starting today, 43 Things users can export their goals and entries from the site. Starting August 15, we will make the site “read only”. 43 Things users will still be able to view the site and export their content, but we won’t be taking any new content from users. We hope to leave the site up for folks to see and download their content until the end of the year. Ending on New Year’s Eve takes us full circle.

It has been a long ride (one of our original goals was to "build a company that lasts at least 2 years” - we beat that one!) While we wish the site could live on, it has suffered from a number of challenges - changes in how people use the site, the advertising industry, and how search engines view the site. We wish the outcome was different – but we’ve always been realistic about when our goals are met and when they aren't.

As of today, you will be able to download your goals and entries. See more about that on the FAQ page. Thanks for 10 great years of goal-setting and achieving.

How to get rid of keloid scars

Comments:

Question about your treatment

Hey, I actually googled how to get rid of a keloid, and one of the results lead me to this website. I actually joined it to see if I could comment on your remedy. I hope you still check this page. Anyway, I was wondering, while you were using the tea tree oil and what not, did it dry up and flake? Also, since it’s been quite a while since you posted this… did it ever come back? I’m concerned about mine :-/ please let me know ASAP, if you can…

Nope, my keloid never came back :)

Yes, it did flake quite a bit. When I would put the tea tree oil in the hot water sea salt soak, the entire area around my nose would get flakey and dry too. It is totally normal.

Just continually use the tea tree oil, several times a day, with slight pressure, along with the hot water sea salt soaks, and it will eventually go away (i’d say do it at least 2-3 times a day). that, and be VERY careful with your nose ring! do not hit it, get it snagged on anything, etc, because it will just make the keloid even worse.

do not try to pop, pick at, or squish your keloid! worst idea ever.

hi help

hii

i wanted to know ab ur keloid…how long did u do the tea tree oil treatment and where did u purchase it pls??

jenXya is in a divine romance with our Creator

Honestly, I did the tea tree oil until it went away. i know that doesn’t help much but really thats all you do – treat it until its gone. like i said, it took me almost a year to get rid of mine, but i know others who did this same method and it went away in a few weeks! even just one week! just stay diligent.

I got my tea tree oil at a health food store, but you could probably get some at a CVS pharmacy or something. It is pretty common.

get distilled water, add sea salt, like 2 teaspoons maybe 3. heat it up so its WARM not HOT. you can either A. put the tea tree oil directly into the solution or B. put it on afterwards with a q tip.
with the soak, you just get a cotton ball or pad, soak up the solution, and apply it to your keloid with even pressure (not a LOT of pressure, just a gentle pressure) until it gets cold. repeat for about 10 minutes. do this 2-3 times a day.

with the direct application of the tea tree oil, i did not dilute it, although you should. tea tree oil is very strong and dries your skin out very badly. However I just dealt with the skin peeling and applied it directly to my keloid.

Vitamin E oil goes on after everything to prevent drying out and to restore nutrients and to make the keloid softer so it can heal faster. apply with a q-tip just like the tea tree oil and rub gently with slight pressure.

I said most of this stuff above by the way….

also try writing normal english, I had a really hard time reading your question. not trying to be rude but it was just hard to read and respond to.

Time interval between applying tea tree and vitamin E oil?

Dear JenXya,

Thanx for your free info and advice. May you be gifted with all the happiness in the world and anything you wish for in this universe. Million blessings on you.

But just one clarification. Should I use the vitamin E oil immediately after using the tea tree oil on the keloid or there should be a time interval to applying the Vitamin E oil . If yes what should be the time gap or interval?

Thanks once again. Hardly can wear a simple v-neck dress due to the keloid, let alone a deep cleavage. Its been such a curse for the past 12 years :-(

TIA,
Kaloni
