How to get rid of keloid scars by jenXya

"PAINSTAKINGLY SLOW - but worth it in the end."

How I did it: I had a really stubborn keloid on my nose stud, and i just had to continually use tea tree oil and vitamin E oil treatments to it. Also hot sea salt water soaks were miracles.

first add sea salt and water and heat it up, use a cotton ball and soak your nose. do it until the water turns cold. WARM WATER not HOT. your nose will burn if you use hot water.

after, take a q-tip and dip it in some tea tree oil, and apply it to the keloid, putting slight pressure on it (not like - "i am gonna kill you keloid!" pressure - GENTLE)
also do the same with vitamin E oil.

if you wish, you can add tea tree oil to the hot sea salt water soaks. it smells horrible and when it dribbles in your mouth it tastes even worse than the plain sea salt mixture, but it really helps.

Lessons & tips: gentle pressure, not harsh

do NOT mess with it
do NOT mess with your nose ring (turning it, etc)
HANDS OFF!!!! unless doing one of the treatments.

Resources: pure tea tree oil

vitamin E oil
Sea Salt (NOT TABLE SALT - NOT IODIZED)
Distilled water
cotton balls

Question about your treatment

Hey, I actually googled how to get rid of a keloid, and one of the results lead me to this website. I actually joined it to see if I could comment on your remedy. I hope you still check this page. Anyway, I was wondering, while you were using the tea tree oil and what not, did it dry up and flake? Also, since it’s been quite a while since you posted this… did it ever come back? I’m concerned about mine :-/ please let me know ASAP, if you can…

Nope, my keloid never came back :)

Yes, it did flake quite a bit. When I would put the tea tree oil in the hot water sea salt soak, the entire area around my nose would get flakey and dry too. It is totally normal.

Just continually use the tea tree oil, several times a day, with slight pressure, along with the hot water sea salt soaks, and it will eventually go away (i’d say do it at least 2-3 times a day). that, and be VERY careful with your nose ring! do not hit it, get it snagged on anything, etc, because it will just make the keloid even worse.

do not try to pop, pick at, or squish your keloid! worst idea ever.

Honestly, I did the tea tree oil until it went away. i know that doesn’t help much but really thats all you do – treat it until its gone. like i said, it took me almost a year to get rid of mine, but i know others who did this same method and it went away in a few weeks! even just one week! just stay diligent.

I got my tea tree oil at a health food store, but you could probably get some at a CVS pharmacy or something. It is pretty common.

did u use the tea tree oil after your sea salt soaks?
what the sea salt soak? what items do u use and how pls?
and did u use it E with the tea tree oil?
and did u silute ur tea tree oil bc i hear u should?
thx so much i qot my traqus ab 6 mtnhs ago and the bump appeared a lil after but now its a lil bigger and red tear tear ;/
