How to quit my oppressive job
How I did it: It took me a month to come to terms with the idea that leaving a job mid year does not immediately label one as unprofessional. Realizing that the harassment and exploitation that I was subjected too, which were things I often came to accept as my reality, were points against which I had to take action, I made the decision to leave my job and though burdened initially by a heavy sense of duty, I now feel quite happier and definitely liberated.
Lessons & tips: I think it's important to often ask yourself if you feel happy where you work, and if not what reasons those are. If they are reasons that stem from someone other than you -- negative work environment, boss, pay etc -- and it involves things you personally can do nothing to change, I think it might be worth checking into other jobs, and going with your gut feeling. Don't be afraid to dare.
Resources: Friends confirmed what I already felt inside, but tried hard to ignore.
