How to obtain my Conceal Carry Permit (in this State)

"I completed the paperwork, was fingerprinted, had the background check and then had to wait for my permit to be issued (hence, the 32 days)."
How I did it: I had to go to the Courthouse to fill out paperwork, then go to the Sheriff's Department to be fingerprinted and have a background check ran, then back to the Courthouse to finish the paperwork process. Then all of the paperwork was sent to the GBI for final processing.
Lessons & tips: No cash or personal checks are accepted in GA for payment of fees for processing
Take your driver's license and birth certificate for proper identification for processing
