How I did it: I donated blood at my University and then they sent me a letter through the post telling me my blood type and provided me with a plastic red card that states my blood type and that i have donated 1-4 times (when you donate more than 4 times you get a new card of a different colour) I carry it around with pride.. slightly pathetic but i'm really happy about it.
