"Very rewarding experience"

How I did it: I live in San Diego…I signed up for VolunteerSanDiego.org…its great because you dont have to make a commitment to anything long term. They have flex-projects, which means you sign up for one time events. So you can sign up for a few hours a week, once a month or once every six months, whatever works with your schedule.  I just sign up for projects when I have time. It’s also great because I have done various projects such as, food banks, children homes, women shelters, packing lunchs, serving seniors and even events for charities such as beer festivals and golf tornaments. So I have been able explore various projects to see which I'm most passionate about.

Excellent resource, I passed the link along to a buddy in San Diego.

There are many resources online – it’s a shame more people don’t utilize them. The world needs more volunteers!
