How I did it: I spent all 4 years of high school taking the hardest schedules I could. Yes I was insane. I definitely could have gotten in without trying so hard, but high school is when you really learn how to study and research and write papers and give speeches and all that fun stuff. So it really is important to work hard. It totally pays off in the end. I am going to a school I could not have gone to had I not received a load of scholarship money because of my high school resume and other things. So work hard! You will essentially be getting paid for it.
Lessons & tips: Get teachers who know you to write letters of recommendation. Study to do your best on the SAT/ACT. I know it sounds like hell but the scholarship money is SO worth it!

You are going to have a great time in college. Do interships and join student chapters of groups. Be introspective and find yourself. Take the classes that you always wanted. Take classes that you think you’ll hate. Meet people from all over the world and listen to their stories. Seize the day every day!
I did similar stuff when I was finishing school and boy did it pay off, I’m so glad you did it because its so nice to be rewarded for all that hard work.
Enjoy this, you deserve it, and never forget what you can achieve if you throw yourself into it… just try and figure out how to balance it all as well
