How to start canoeing

How I did it: Its been something I have wanted to do for years but the logistics of carrying the long and heavy canoe to the water and the fear of toppling over in the sea, meant that every day was not quite the right day. Years passed. I took the canoe for a 600km drive and left it at the Boathouse between the Keurbooms and the Bitou Rivers along the Southern Cape Coast. Now all I have to do is slide it down into the water and set off into the flow.
