How I did it: I had dreamed up the idea of a cat-cam a couple of years ago but couldn't get anyone technical to help me realize my dream of building one. A few months ago, I searched for something like it online and found Mr. Lee's Catcam, so I bought it. I finally figured out how to use it, bought a memory chip for it, waited for a dry day, and put it on my cat's collar. When Nicky got back home from his travels, I took the camera off him, plugged it into my computer, and voila! A few minutes of a day in Nicky's life from his point of view.
Lessons & tips: I'm still not sure how I got it to start; probably the way I figure out all other mechanical and technological devices. I just keep pushing buttons until something happens.
Resources: Google search, Mr. Lee's Catcam, Youtube, other catcam sites, and always, my genius son.

Since I did the cat cam thing with Nicky those days, he’s been hanging around the house more. Maybe he’s trying to just show me what he does outside all that time.
It kind of freaked him out a little so I’ll wait until he’s happier in his life before I put it on him again. His favorite cat-buddy had to be put to sleep so he’s still post traumatic :(. But as time goes on he’ll feel better.
