How I did it: Practice, trying new approaches, posting questions to the administrators and/or other members. All that has given me a pretty good operational understanding of how this site works.

It has taken time to discern just all the ins and outs of it and learn experientially just what happens when I do something. It has changed over time too, so I have adjusted my understanding at times too. I expect it to continue to change and perhaps learn a point or two, but all in all I think I understand pretty well. There are still a few questions I don't have answers to but I will let those go.
