How to be more positive
How I did it: I tried the therapy route for a little while, but I really didn't have any deep dark secrets. Everything that I told her I told to at least my boyfriend (who I have to thank more than anyone for this). And I didn't feel like she really cared. I truly believe that antidepressants are not always the answer. Some people need them, but I felt like I could overcome this on my own. This really tested my self-control, but I already have noticed a change in myself. Although I will always have to work on this, my quality of life has already improved. I'm incredibly happy with the change I've seen in myself.
Lessons & tips: Get help when you need it. It's different for everyone, and it's important to do what's best for you. Have people around you who care, and know that you aren't a failure if you need therapy or anti depressants. Sometimes it's what you need to get over the hump.
