How to january Goal - Daily: Write Haiku to describe the day
"I love writing Haiku and being this intentional with it felt just right for my January writing practice."
How I did it: I set the intention, created the goal and kept vaguely aware of the images as they unfolded throughout the day.
I was especially pleased with my consistency - so much so I upped my own writing practice ante in creating another poetry writing goal for February.
Ambition breeds ambition, I suppose.
Lessons & tips: 1. Be forgiving if you miss a day.
Brush dust from your clothes
Move images through your pen
Inhale and exhale
2. Recognize haiku is sacred as well as poetry.
3. Let go of the standard forms (season, movement, etc) and allow the flow to move the form itself.
4. Explore other haiku artists as the month unfolds for further inspiration.
Resources: My 43t friends, ofcourse!
