How I did it: worked, couldnt work that much becase i was still in school but as much as i could.  it was easier for me because i didnt have anything holding me back because i was just right out of high school.  one of the main reasons i went was because well i wanted to travel and didnt want to go right into university after highschool because i dint know what i wanted to do.  but i saved up some money bought a plane ticket i belive off of canadian air and used some family in vancouver to stay at so i wouldnt have to stay in the airport waiting for my flight to leave even though that ended up happening anyways.  but i got on the plane in vancouver transfered in ottawa and then got off in germany at frankfurt i got off randomly walked around got my luggage accidently found the train station which was good because thats where i needed to go and blah blah blah blah......

Resources: look around at as many airplane sites as you can flight costs vary alot and you can sometimes find really great deals and save tons
