How to become polylingual
How I did it: I've tried to listen to the media of my chosen language, and I've tried to read as much material as I can, to get reading and writing practice. Learning a new alphabet can take time, but with practice every day, you can do anything. I also listened to several MP3 lessons, along with history lessons about the country in mind, and I also sometimes talked with people from the country of the originated language. I would say that computer programs are useful, but only if you use them often, and try to increase your vocabulary and grammatic comprehension.
Lessons & tips: No matter how silly you feel, about the way you sound or the way that you're progressing - don't give up. It's a great tool, learning any language, and on top of that, it's very rewarding, and good for the brain.
Resources: Pimsleur, Rosetta Stone, TalkNow. The books i've read are numerous.
