How to make a meal from wild plants

How I did it: As I child it always interested me. At age 8 I fixed a cat-tail cassorole for my family that is still talked about (but alas, not fondly)
Lessons & tips: Read Bradford Angier's (spelling?) field guide, and Peterson Field Guide "Edible Wild Plants. Learn one plant, prepare it, then move on to the next.
