How I did it: One weekend my wife said "why don't you just go out and buy that damn boat; at least 'look.'
Well I looked and I first came back with a 60' Hunter (too big and too much) but then a 22' DS Kirby. Which I subsequently bought. W00t
Turns out my wife thought 'just look' would result in a 14' Laser for a grand not a 'sleeps four lets not buy a cottage.'

Wow! a 60 foot sail boat is ENORMOUS!!!! That must have been a HUGE chore to handle! I grew up on a Catalina 36 and my biggest materiel wish is to own a sailboat of my own…probably something quite a bit smaller though…perhaps a 26.
Kudos on reaching your goal! I’m jealous!
