With any sort of wound in your mouth, you really shouldn’t smoke for a couple days. The infection risk is very high. Consider yourself lucky!
How I did it: My dad took my, we signed the release forms. It really didnt hurt at all and didn't bleed, though my friend got hers done by some sketchy place and it bled alot. They say you can't smoke, but I put a listerine soaked cotton ball over it when I smoked, I did cut back alot though.
Lessons & tips: I reccomend starting with a stud, and later switching to a ring if you prefer one (i made that switch today). the straight bar heals cleaner and stays more still, irritating your new puncture wound much less
