How to become a morning person.
How I did it: I started by taking advice from a friend who was also experimenting with waking up early and comparing the productivity of a day waking up at noon and one waking up around 7 or 8 am. At first I didn't believe it but when I started waking up earlier I discovered that he was right!
I feel like I have more hours in the day and I feel that I have the motivation to get more things done because I have more time. I have started sleeping better because I am awake earlier so am worn out by the time I go to bed.
I feel like my quality of life has improved a lot.
Lessons & tips: Set your alarm until you get used to getting up early.
Wake up with a friend and watch the sunrise! It's such a wonderful experience.
Find early morning activities that get you going. I don't even drink coffee anymore, especially since I started waking up earlier. I find that when I was waking up later I drank so much more coffee!
Resources: Several suggestions from a friend, one very irritating alarm clock, the right attitude when the very irritating alarm goes off, delicious things to eat for breakfast, hot shower first thing in the morning.
