How to lose 50 lbs
How I did it: Last year I simply decided to eat "better" eat clean and cut out a lot of the toxins that processed foods contain. My goal was not actually to lose weight (although I needed too LOL) I am guessing it took 9 months but it could have been less than that.
All I did was cut out anything white .. no white rice, pasta, bread, flour or sugar... replaced it with multi grains, brown rice pasta (which is amazing and soooo much better than multi grain). I still made desserts occasionally however I used organic cane sugar or turbinado instead... and to be honest it tasted better. I also cut out red meat and pork .. and ate chicken and fish.
The key was really educating myself on certain foods .. and doing it completely for myself .. in addition to losing more than 60 lbs .. I didn't have a single cold, flu or any other ailment .. I felt great .. lost weight ... and made a lifestyle change for me.
Lessons & tips: Don't deprive yourself of desserts just learn a more natural way of making them. Brown rice pasta is so much better than multi grain. The key is still eating things you enjoy just not eating them processed and full of fillers. It has to be a complete lifestyle change. When you change your lifestyle you can't fail. It has to be something you want to stick to or you will dread it. I started eating this way over a year ago and I have to say it was easy .. I felt so much better, I am healthier and I am still losing weight ... I didn't start off with the intention to lose weight just to eat healthier and let my body know I was in control. This year .. I actually plan on trying to lose weight so we have added the gym in the mix.... imagine all that last year and I still wasn't working out... once again it has to be a lifestyle.
