I was so excited
three years ago when I moved to a community that recycled once a week.
The town where I grew up still does not recycle.
This is so important! Glad you are doing your part to save our planet.
How I did it: In Helsinki, if you live in an appartment block, the waste disposal is organised very effectively. At our house, you can recycle organic waste, paper, cardboard, plastic and wood (stuff that can be burn for energy). Glass and metals can be dropped of at the resycling points all over town (for glass anyway, metal ones are harder to find). So to finally recycle organic kitchen stuff, I just needed to reorganise my waste bins and get over the smells if I don't bother to take out the bins.
