How I did it: I started looking at resale shops for pants. Usually when I find the perfect pair of jeans in the store, they get messed up in the washer. No matter how I wash them, they come out shorter than they used to be, so when I buy them at a resale shop, they've already been washed and dryed, so I know how they'll fit.
