How to go to a music festival
How I did it: To date i have been to Reading 4 times, Glastonbury once and dragged to Cambridge folk festival every year since i was born (21) by enthusiastic parents.
Lessons & tips: When trying to get hold of tickets before they sell out get any friends/family who happen to be around on as many different phones/computers as possible or cue from a horrible early hour to increase your chances.
Sort out some kind of system with everyone who's going so if one person gets through to the ticket hot-line they buy everyone's rather tan everyone struggling to get individual tickets.
Don't rely on eBay you'll be broke forever! and don't but spare tickets and sell on eBay its so unfair!
Take lots of toilet paper! Don't take anything worth stealing, expect trashed tents and mud! lots of mud! you just can't have festival experience without mud.
Expect to stink everyone does by the end you'll blend in.
Take antibacterial hand wash, you'll know why when you see the toilets!
buy cheap fake programs of site they're a lot cheaper!
Please don't be a tap hogger! people who shower under the taps make people very angry it takes too long the cue for the tap is massive! get over your self at a festival everyone's a skank! everyone stinks, everyones covered in mud! Just go with it for a few days it's part of the experience.
Resources: Toilet paper. Cheap food. Off-site shops selling cheap food/beer.
