As nature intended.
The stitched sky above can be a little weird lookin so here the sun is on its own as nature intended.
How I did it: It was about 4:30AM. I was in a little bus with a few other backpackers driving north up the spine of Vietnam. We passed through the former DMZ and the city of Danang and it was as we emerged from that city that we passed a beach that was just being illuminated by the amber light of the sun dragging itself out of the only cloud on the horizon. We pulled over and walked down to the beach. We stayed there staring for about 15 minutes until we returned slowly to the little bus feeling a bit strange. We knew we had just seen something so magical that we could never accurately describe it to anyone else.
Lessons & tips: So I took some photos of it but it doesn't convey what it was like to really be there and have your whole field of vision taken up with such astonishing beauty, to feel the sea breeze in your hair, hear the surf hissing in the distance and sense the awe among the people there. I took three photos as the sun was at various stages of rising and then stiched them all together so that it almost looks like I long sky with three suns rising. The thumbnail for that is on the left and you can click to see the full image.
