How to lose 10% of my body weight
How I did it: Weight Watchers. I needed the accoutability of going to weekly meetings. I plan all my food and write down everything I eat. I've recently started exercising which has sped up the weight loss to where I really feel it.
Lessons & tips:
- Write down everything you eat. It's so simple to say "I don't eat that much junk" when you can't remember.
- It's not going to come off overnight, so set realistic expectations.
- Get a buddy and do it together. It's good to have support and fun to compete.
Resources:
- I can't say enough about Weight Watchers and how much it's helped me realize what I was doing wrong.
- Cooking Light is a great resource for low calorie foods.
- BuddySlim website is where you can hook up with people who are also losing weight.
