How I did it: I have liked my best lad mate for a while, we were flirting loads! I thought someone else would beat me to it, so I plucked up the courage to ask them. It was all rushed cos' a load of people knew what I was gonna do, so they were mucking about.

When I asked him, he said that he didn't want to ruin our friendship, but wouls go out with me if I want. I was like,,,oh brilliant (sarcasm). We went out for half a minute before saying maybe it's not a good idea.

Oh well, maybe he will come to his senses?

At least I can do this sort of thing, I was so pleased I actually asked someone out!

Lessons & tips: Take your time, wait for the right moment and let it be just the two of you alone.
