How to see the northern lights in alaska

How I did it: I lived in Alaska for seven years over a 17 year experience, and got to see the lights several times. They never got old, and the colors never were the same.
Lessons & tips: They can appear anytime, it's not just a "oh hi there". Don't be dissapointed if you don't see them, they hide... a lot.
