How to drink more water
"My hair and skin look and feel healthier and I have fewer food cravings, but goodness I have to pee a lot!"
How I did it: I have been trying to force myself to drink more water for two years now (ever since reading an article about the importance and benefits of hydration). Straight-up willpower was an utter failure... I tried enforcing a routine of a glass of water in the morning, before bed, and with every meal, but I failed at this miserably. I tried carrying water with me everywhere--same results. I just don't like drinking lots of water!
But THEN, two weekends ago some friends and I bought colorful straws for my friend's birthday cocktails. For fun, I put a straw in my glass of water one afternoon and I sucked it down and two more glasses without a second thought. Ever since then I have drunk water with a straw and I have been more hydrated than EVER before in my life--the STRAW is the trick! You won't even realize how much you are drinking (that said and from the experience of our cocktail party--be careful drinking alcohol with a straw... it works the same way).
