cake
Is that your own cake? Because it’s purty…
I’m turning 37 this year. Perhaps this goal should be added to my list for my birthday.
How I did it: I started making the list 3 years ago. I tried to vary the goals across many areas of life rather than just focus on one. It took me about 2 months to make the list and then I just tried to make small steps towards them all the time - planning stops on vacation, taking opportunities to practice skills, and so on.
Lessons & tips: Don't feel tied to your original list. Make changes whenever it seems appropriate.
Resources: 43things! Ha!

to maybe make a list of 40 awesome things to do in my 40s!
I guess I should have done it last year, but hey…I’m only 41.
really made the possibility of reaching your goal accessible to yourself (and others) by realizing two things in particular: 1) ”...make small steps,” and 2) “Don’t feel tied to your original list. Make changes whenever it seems appropriate.”
BRAVO! Now comes the fun part of life. Enjoy your 40s, dear!
BTW There is a neat magazine I subscribe to called MORE especially for women who are over 40. Most of the articles have inspirational stories, positive role models, ideas for getting out there and finding what excites us, beauty and exercise tips, etc. Some of the advertising and a few of the articles are a bit superficial, but overall, it’s a nice one-night read.

Uh, I mean, 1 and a half.
One thing that’s interesting is that I’ve found even if I am not specifically checking things off from my goals (and I’ve been missing from 43t for a while, so I haven’t) I am still working on them. So when I come back to the list… I still am moving along.
It reminds me that I should go back and check out how I’m doing.
